Focus and Scope

It is the focus of LE Literary and Arts Journal to represent the culture of WSU by publishing student work that reflects the creativity, ingenuity, skill, and overall guise of WSU students. We publish all manner of fiction, non-fiction, poetry, art, photography, animation, and other media. Pieces published in LE represent the heart of WSU, the students, and in no way reflect any particular views and/or biases of the editorial staff.

About Us

Peer Review Process

Submissions are reviewed by the LE editorial staff, which usually consists of about 15-20 currently enrolled WSU students. Editors are asked to make their decisions based on the skill, craft, creativity, depth, and originality represented in the submission.

Due to the large volume of submissions recieved each year, we do not send rejection letters to submitters that are not accepted into the journal. However, if submitters are accepted, they are typically notified by the beginning of Spring semester.

Publication Frequency

LE publishes once a year in the Spring, and will be available to the public once final editing is complete.
